Anyway, I've been meaning to do a tuneup on my Blazer for a while, and I've kept putting it off because I figured I'd need Jim's help. Today, though, I promised myself I'd do it and so I did.
It was messy. First, both Jim and I want to smack Chevy soundly for the way they arranged the plugs and wires on the 4.3L V6; it's damn near impossible to get to the back two plugs on the driver's side of the engine without a U-joint or, well, taking off the left front wheel. Ugh. Jim managed to make it work, though. Getting the other 4 plugs in and out was a lot easier, though; I had to get some shorter extensions, since the one I had was a good 6 inches long, and Jim didn't have his tools with him.
Anyway, the plugs, wires, cap and rotor are all in, and the engine runs a lot better than it did. The downside is that I really, really need a shower now. I'll remedy that in the morning, though.
I still need to change the oil, too. That'll be fun. Not.
